We started as an informal club, investing into start-ups. Then we discovered a slight issue.

The MENA region has around 380 million people. Collectively, it has everything – deep, concentrated pools of capital; abundant natural resources; highly talented & educated workforce; governments willing to push the regulatory envelope. However, these different assets are distributed across rigid national boarders, making it difficult to access all of them at the same time. This is the fundamental challenge for entrepreneurship in the region.

We are a GCC-based early stage venture investing & educational platform
Launched in 2013 out of a tangible need for a platform for regional individuals and players interested in investing in startups
We have a growing investor network of angels & institutions across the GCC
Our goal is to create a new class of informed early-stage investors that will serve as a viable funding source for emerging companies both regionally and internationally
We provide educational content around venture investing delivered via a number of programs throughout the region
We offer full-fledged customised services to family offices & corporates

VentureSouq aims to unlock the region’s assets. We focus first & foremost on investors, the source of fuel for young companies that intend to change the world. We seek out the best companies in the world for our growing network of investors, and we do everything required to get them exposure at a time when the risk-reward prospects are optimal. We use our own technology to make the process as seamless and frictionless as possible, and we ensure that the companies can leverage the resources & relationships that the investors have to offer.

Headquartered in Dubai with a team in KSA and operating since 2013, VentureSouq now oversees the largest investor network in the MENA region. We have grown entirely organically, evolving the informal investor club into a full-service platform for investors, covering everything from investment management, due diligence and execution to investor education.

Investors can add tremendous value to both regional entrepreneurs and to international entrepreneurs who want to grow their presence regionally. So our mandate is broad, global. But our goal is specific. Help turn MENA into a viable & powerful market for technology & innovation.
